Julia Bradford Page, the youngest of eight children born to the late John and Gertrude Foxx Bradford was born on June 3, 1931 in Bennettsville, South Carolina. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour, and joined Shiloh Baptist Church, remaining a member for her entire life. She served in a variety of capacities, including: the Senior and Inspirational choirs, the United Usher Board, the Della Harrington Missionary Circle and as a Trustee. Her civic and community affiliations included: Queen of Sheba #5 OES and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Julia was educated in the school system of Marlboro County and was a 1949 graduate of Marlboro High School. After graduation, she enrolled at Fayetteville State Teachers College where she majored in education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1954. Julia began her career as a teacher in 1956 in the public schools of Dillon County. In 1970, she was chosen to be the first public school kindergarten teacher at the old Marlboro School and remained throughout her career.
Left to cherish her memory are: daughter Lorraine Covington Williams; sons: David (Sandra) Page, Darryl (Angel) Page and Ronald (Vanessa) Carmichael; six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 20, 12:00 noon at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bennettsville, SC.
Mrs. Shirley J. Johnson

Shirley Jean Johnson, was born on June 9, 1944 to Cathleen Jackson. She was the first of three children. On Tuesday morning March 10, 2020 her spirit returned unto God who gave it.
Mrs. Vera Stubbs Robinson

Mrs. Vera Stubbs Robinson, a native of Bennettsville, South Carolina, was born on June 29, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Elmo and Luvenia Brown Stubbs and the sister of the late Thomas Henry Stubbs. She was a member of Dyers Hill AME Zion Church where she was the church’s musician and directed the choir for over 60 years. Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of South Carolina State College (University). She was married to the late Ernest C. Robinson, Sr. and has two children Karen Clark (James) and Ernest C. Robinson, Jr (Sheryl). She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A family viewing and visitation will he held from 6-8 pm, Friday, March 13 in the M. D. Morris Memorial Chapel of Morris Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Dyers Hill AME Zion Church, with burial following the Service at Ideal Cemetery in Bennettsville. Morris Funeral Home of Bennettsville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Ms. Dorothy Mae Hodges Powe

Dorothy Mae Hodges Powe was born on January 20, 1935 in Marlboro County, Bennettsville, South Carolina. She was born to the late Jesse Hodges, Sr. and Frances Hailey. Dorothy was the second of eight children born to this couple. She departed her life on Sunday, February 23, 2020, when God called her to her heavenly home to rest in peace. A celebration of life service was held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Bennettsville, South Carolina with Family Visitation and Viewing from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M. and Service at 1:00 P.M.
Committal and Interment followed at the Sandy Grove Church Cemetery.
