Da’John Toreem Sellers passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the age of thirty at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1990 to Karon Sellers of Bennettsville, SC and Sa’lee EL also known as Joe Generette (Jazmia) of Fayetteville, NC.
“Cool J”, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends attended both the University of South Carolina and the University of North Carolina (Charlotte).
Graveside services were held June 24, 2020, 2:30 p.m. at the Berea Memorial Garden, Bennettsville, SC.
Mrs. Nancy Mae Easterling Brown
Mrs. Nancy Mae Brown was born in Bennettsville, SC on November 20, 1933 to the late Ella and Roosevelt Easterling. She gained her wings on June 19, 2020.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. A true matriarch to her community Mrs. Brown’s nurturing nature captured the hearts of many. She was a phenomenal cook, gardener, seamstress, and caretaker. A devoted member of Sawmill Missionary Baptist Church, a woman of faith and loved by many.
A celebration of life service was held on Friday, June 26, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Sawmill Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Grace Kennedy Pounder
New York, NY – Graveside Services for Grace Kennedy Pounder were held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Pounder was the daughter of the late Augustus Kennedy and the late Zenith David Kennedy, both natives of Bennettsville. Mrs. Pounder is survived by her cousins Barbara David, Barbara Ann David, LeAnn David, Thorne David, Col (RET.) Jacob (LaBrenda) Haynes, Deidre (John B.) Hepburn, Betty Morris, and Dr. Carolyn A. Prince.
