Conester McLeod Williams, daughter of the late Fairley Wallace and Earlene Leggett McLeod, was born on February 15, 1948 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County.Conester accepted Christ early in life and became a faithful member of Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Conester loved gospel music and sang with several different gospel choirs during her lifetime.She departed this life on November 4, at Dundee Manor in Bennettsville, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Hubert McLeod, James Calvin McLeod and Fred McLeod; and one sister, Mary (May Grace) Wallace Bostic.Conester is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Jacobs (Lee); one granddaughter, Anikka Jacobs; and one great granddaughter, Madison Jacobs all of Woodbridge, NJ; three siblings: Emma Nell (Calvin) Bethea and Fairley Wallace of Bennettsville, SC and Councilean Peagues of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 10, 2 pm at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Kinney Street, Bennettsville.
